MUJI Labo

Born from Culture

Through harnessing the power of nature and materials, the MUJI Design Laboratory ushers MUJI into the future with the Labo collection. Born from meticulous craftsmanship, the close attention to detail is what defines this range of sophisticated ready-to-wear fashion. This collection will launch in two phases, with the Autumn drop in mid-January and the Winter drop in early March.

Autumn range available online and in-store at Emporium & The Galeries.

MUJI Labo Autumn

Labo's first Autumn Drop brings together three key materials that reflect our focus on function, sustainability, and craftsmanship. Uniform Material, Recycled Cotton, and Loopwheel Knitted sweats.

Uniform Material

Inspired by the durability and functionality of traditional uniforms, this range focuses on practical materials designed for everyday wear. Drawing from school, medical, and gym uniforms, the fabrics are chosen for their strength, comfort, and ease of care.

Recycled & Organic Cotton

Reflecting a more sustainable approach to everyday clothing, the MUJI Labo line uses organic cotton and recycled cotton blends. MUJI's recycled cotton blend range gives new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste by blending cotton with fabric scraps from T-shirt and shirt production. This process reduces fabric waste while maintaining the natural softness and comfort of cotton.

Loopwheel Knitted

Knitted slowly using traditional loopwheel knitting methods in Wakayama Prefecture and other areas of Japan, these fabrics are designed for exceptional softness, breathability, and comfort. Unlike modern high-speed knitting, the loopwheel process allows air to remain within the fabric structure, creating a relaxed texture that feels gentle on the skin and comfortable for everyday wear.
