Discover MUJI's 90° right angle socks

A person's heel is a right angle. That's why we knit the heel at 90 degrees.

General socks are made of 120°. We want to deliver the comfort that comes from a mere 30° difference to as many people as possible.

With that in mind, the development of right-angle socks began, and we have continued to research and improve them over many years. Today, all MUJI socks are right-angled.

Feature 1: Socks That Fit The Heel

The right angle is the same as the shape of the foot, so the heel is completely wrapped.

Feature 2: Socks That Don't Slip

The heel fits perfectly, so there is no excess fabric and it does not slip even when you move.

Feature 3: Socks That Aren't Too Tight

It does not slip even when you move, so you don't have to tighten your feet.

How To Make Your Socks Last Longer

  • If you are unsure about which size to choose, choose the larger one. If friction is added while the socks are stretched, they will be damaged faster.
Example: If your shoes are 23 cm, choose 23-25 cm socks instead of 21-23 cm socks.
  • Wear shoes that fit your feet. If the shoe size is too big or too snug, the friction of the sock inside the shoe
    will increase and cause holes.
  • Please pay attention to the type of shoes. If the inside is rough, the friction with the socks increases and pilling is likely to occur, making it easier for holes to form.
  • Storage space is also important. Store it in a place where it is not exposed to sunlight or fluorescent lights.
    (Avoid direct sunlight when drying.)
  • Put your valuable socks in a laundry net and wash them. Mixing fabric softener reduces the friction between fibers, making it less prone to pilling.
  • If you have pilling: While the pilling is still small, use a fabric shaver or scissors to carefully remove the pilling.
  • Keep your toenails short and tidy to prevent any abrasion to the fabric.
