We're excited to announce the return of our MUJI Food Market on September 7-8 at MUJI Chadstone, celebrating new additions to our MUJI Food range, including the FOUND MARKET collection.
We’ve selected a range of vendors that showcase a diverse blend of local character, along with influences from Japan and other Asian cultures. Learn more about each one below.
Hareruya: Pronounced "Hallelujah" and meaning ‘sunny shop’ in Japanese, Hareruya is a Japanese takeaway shop that's recently opened a new store in Melbourne's CBD to complement their flagship location in Carlton. They will be offering a range of their extremely popular handmade Japanese gelati.
Lt Cardigan: A small bakery located in Brunswick, Lt Cardigan that offers specialty shokupan (Japanese milk bread), pastries and seasonal baked goods. They strive to source local and organic ingredients whenever possible and work with farmers and producers who share their commitment to quality and environmental sustainability.
Naked Asian Grocer: Australia’s first zero-waste Asian grocery store, Naked Asian Grocer provides a variety of Asian pantry staples without plastic waste by using recycled and recyclable packaging. Visit their store to check out their customisable ramen kit.
Kori: Co-founded by ex-Coda chef Joane Yeoh and Bernard Chu of South Yarra patisserie Luxbite, Kori is back with an exclusive introduction of their new purin (Japanese custard pudding) menu, available for the first time at MUJI.
Six-Eyed Scorpion: Led by Sandra, Six-Eyed Scorpion focuses on sharing diverse culinary stories and perspectives, often inspired by her heritage. One of their featured offerings is the popular Crispy Chilli Oil.
After the massive turnout for our first food market back in May, we've changed the format this time around to minimise wait-time and ensure as many people can visit the market over the weekend.
This time around there's a RSVP system which will guarantee your entry within a time slot. To save your slot in on the day please select your time and date and we’ll see you then!
